BORIC ACID POWDER 500g
Description
Boric Acid can be used to remove Tear Stains.
Mix the powder with enough boiled, cooled water, Diamond Eyes or Optrex eye lotion to create a paste, pack this paste into the crease on the face where the tear stains are apparent (careful not to get any powder in the eye) and allow to dry. Do this every day for a week on severe staining and as needed for maintenance, the stain will lessen and in most cases disappear. Alternatively make up 1 teaspoon of powder to 1 cup of cooled boiled water and apply with a cotton ball
Note that diet can play a large part in tear stains as can dogs with eye problems that cause excess tearing - these issues should be addressed to prevent further staining
STOP USE IMMEDIATELY IF IRRITATION OCCURS - DO NOT ALLOW YOUR DOG TO INGEST THE POWDER OR THE MIXTURE
LONG TERM USE OF BORIC ACID IS NOT RECOMMENDED
