Take the "Owning a Bulldog" Short Course.

By taking this course you will receive a Certificate to show you have taken the time to read up and research the breed. It will take about an hour to complete and you will be tested at the end of the course to ensure you have understood what you have learned. The course costs £5.00 and if you are on our waiting list we will add your certificate to your file to show you are serious about owning a Bulldog.

WHEN WILL I GET A HOME VISIT

Due to the sheer number of people on our waiting list it is impossible to visit everyone as they register, subsequently we won’t visit you until we have a dog for you and once we have given you all the details we will then come out so we can check your home against the dog we have offered you

CAN I VISIT THE DOG

Sadly until you are successful and vetted we are not able to allow anyone to visit the dogs, this is simply due to the high theft risk on this breed and because so many of the dogs we rehome are still in their homes. Until such time that you have been checked out we are not able to allow you to visit for security reasons.

WHAT ARE MY CHANCES IF THE DOG IS NOT IN MY AREA

Initially we will look at applicants in the area the dog is, if there is no one suitable we will then look at applications made outside of the area, obviously the closer you are the better chance you have

IF THE DOG IS MARKED RESERVED HOW WILL KNOW IF IT’S ME

If the dog has a Reserved banner or a Rehomed Banner you can check if it was you by clicking here

WHEN WILL I KNOW IF IVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL

We will email you and let you know the dog is Reserved. You can also check this page which will keep you up to date with the progress of each dog's rehoming

CAN I APPLY FOR OTHER DOGS WHILST I’M WAITING TO HEAR

Yes you can apply for as many dogs as you wish but please ensure they are dogs suitable for your home and lifestyle

CAN I PHONE YOU ABOUT THIS DOG

We prefer that you don’t simply because every minute spent on the phone is a minute less spent on finding homes for the dogs. You can of course email via the ask a question link on the dog’s listing and we will do our best to reply to you within 24 hours

ALL REHOMING IS DONE BY THE BULLDOG RESCUE REHOMER - REGARDLESS OF THE DOG'S LOCATION, INCLUDING DOGS WITH FOSTER FAMILIES AND DOGS STILL IN THEIR CURRENT HOMES

OUR ADOPTION FEES ARE:

  • Dog aged under 1 year: £500.00
  • Dog aged 1-2 years: £400.00
  • Dog aged 3-5 years: £300.00
  • Dog aged 6-8 years: £150.00
  • Dog aged 9-10 years: £100.00
  • Dog aged over 10: £50.00
